StyleBistro.com

The world of Tom Ford is one of sexuality and pure glamour.  This summer Ford sticks to what he knows best with a line of illuminating bronze products.  The Summer 2013 collection will be available May 1st at Tom Ford makeup counters at Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.

I wanted to capture a very particular look of skin that is bathed in sunset light in the summer. It is a sultry and sublime glow. In this light, every woman looks irresistibly relaxed and sensual

SPRING CLEAN YOUR MAKEUP BAG

Beauty products aren't meant to be kept forever and being that we're in a new season, it's time to "Spring Clean" your makeup bag or drawers.  And to help you get started here's a timeline on when to toss your most used cosmetics.

And here's a tip... using a Sharpie marker, date the bottom of all of your products on the first day of use as a timeline guide.

Mascara lasts for 3 months. Date the bottom of it with a Sharpie upon "first" use as a timeline.

Replace your lipsticks & glosses every 12 months. And dispose of them if they become dry & change color. And of course sharing is a no-no! Date the bottom of them with a Sharpie upon "first" use as a timeline.

Liquid foundation (unopened) can last up to 2 years but once open and used it can last 6-12 months. Date the bottom of it with a Sharpie upon "first" use as a timeline.

Just as mascara, eyeliner should be replaced every 3 months. Pencils should be wiped clean with 91% rubbing alcohol and THEN sharpened after each use. If not, bacteria can settle later causing an infection.

Powder products such as blush and eye shadow can be kept the longest.  They can last as long as 2 years.  And don't forget to date the bottom of your products with a Sharpie upon first use as a timeline guide.
