No Phones & Other Distractions During The Service

To ensure a smooth and efficient experience during your makeup appointment at the studio, please adhere to the following guidelines regarding phones and distractions:

  • No Phone Use: Please refrain from phone use (calls, texts, or social media) during appointments to ensure an efficient experience.

  • Guests Without Appointments: If you are bringing guests who do not have a scheduled appointment, kindly have them wait in the lobby area. This ensures that your appointment stays on track and within the allotted time. Unnecessary questions or interruptions from additional guests can lead to delays, which may extend the appointment beyond the scheduled time.

Personal Makeup & Products

Due to liability reasons, bringing products from your personal collection (skincare, makeup, false lashes, lash glue, etc.) will not be used or applied by the artist. While bringing your own makeup or items is not necessary, if specific products are required to be used, please provide notification at least 48-72 hours in advance so arrangements can be made to purchase them to be used brand new on you and no one else. The quality of any personal products brought to the appointment cannot be guaranteed, and any items brought will not be used.

  • Product Purchases for Clients: If a client requires specific products or lashes for their service, the artist will purchase these items on their behalf. These products are purchased specifically for the client and will be returned after the service. If retaining the products for future use is desired, please notify in advance to take them home.

  • Reimbursement for Purchased Products: If specific products or lashes are requested for a service, payment for these items must be made before the purchase is completed. Once payment is received, the requested items will be purchased and used for the appointment.

Clients may keep the products after the service if desired. Any unused products will be returned, but they are non-refundable as they are purchased specifically for the client’s needs.

All purchased products are non-refundable due to customization to individual preferences. Product requests must be made at least 48-72 hours prior to the appointment to ensure availability.

Liability & Cleanliness

Highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained. Brushes and makeup products are sanitized between each use. Please inform the makeup artist of any skin conditions before makeup application. By booking, you release Chenese Bean Makeup Artistry from any liability regarding skin complications due to allergic reactions or other skin conditions.

Right to Refuse Service

The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service if she feels uncomfortable, threatened, disrespected, sexually harassed, verbally abused, or if the client and/or their guests are uncooperative. Additionally, if the client has open facial wounds or a skin condition that could pose a risk of infection, service may be refused to protect health and safety.

Health & Safety

  • Cancellations: If an appointment is canceled due to a force majeure event, payments made will not be refunded. The outstanding balance will be waived. A gift card (coupon code) equivalent to the retainer amount may be issued for use at a later date, but this must be discussed and arranged.

Appointment Confirmation

Once your appointment is successfully booked, you will receive a confirmation email immediately to the email address used during booking. No further action, such as calling, texting, or emailing, is required on your part. If the email is not in your inbox, please check your spam/junk folder. ON-LOCATION APPOINTMENTS

For appointments at homes, hotels, venues, or other on-location settings, the following policies applies (in addition to what’s listed above) to ensure a smooth and professional experience.

Setup Time / Makeup Artist Arrival

  • Please allow 15–30 minutes for the makeup artist to set up the workstation upon arrival.

Travel / Mileage Fees

  • For locations outside the Cincinnati 45237 area, a mileage rate of $1.00 per miles applies per artist/stylist for distances exceeding 20 miles. For destinations beyond a 2-hour driving distance, please contact us to discuss additional fees and arrangements.

Tardiness (Client)

If you are running late or not ready at the scheduled time, the following guidelines will apply:

  • Waiting Time: If I arrive at the scheduled location and have to wait up to 15 minutes for the client to arrive, my Late Policy will apply.

  • Extended Wait Time: If I am waiting for more than 30 minutes for the client to arrive, the appointment will be canceled, and the client will forfeit any payments made. This is because such delays affect my ability to stay on schedule for other clients.

Tardiness (Makeup Artist)

Every effort is made to arrive on time for all appointments. However, in rare cases of delay (e.g., traffic, weather conditions, or unforeseen circumstances), the client will be notified immediately with an updated arrival time. If the delay exceeds 30 minutes, the client will be given the option to:

  • Reschedule the appointment at no additional cost.

  • Proceed with the appointment at the adjusted time, provided the schedule allows. Giving a 10% discount from the remaining balance or credit towards a next appointment.

No Phones & Other Distractions During The Service

The goal is to create a calm and focused environment, allowing for a seamless and efficient makeup application. Repeated interruptions may delay the process and impact the quality of the service provided. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

  • No Phone Use: Avoid phone use during the appointment, including calls, texts, or social media activity. This ensures the makeup artist can focus fully on providing exceptional service without interruptions.

  • Minimize Distractions: Refrain from leaving the makeup chair to handle consistent household situations or distractions.

  • Impact on Timing: Repeated interruptions that delay the process may affect the makeup artist's ability to stay on schedule, potentially causing lateness for the next client. As appointments are typically booked one hour apart to allow for travel time, delays may result in the implementation of the Late Policy for subsequent clients.

  • Late Policy Implementation: If the appointment causes a delay that affects the next scheduled client, the Late Policy will apply to the current service. This includes the potential to end the service prematurely to honor other commitments.

Clean & Ready Workspace

  • A clean and tidy area should be prepared for the makeup service prior to the makeup artist’s arrival.

  • If the designated area is not ready and requires cleaning or tidying before the makeup artist can set up, this will cause delays. Any resulting delay will be considered under the Late Policy.

Small Children

Please ensure proper supervision for children to keep them away from the makeup area. This helps prevent accidents and avoids any contact with makeup, tools, or items within the workstation.

Pets/Animals

  • Pets should be secured in a separate area before the makeup artist’s arrival to maintain a distraction-free and professional environment. This includes all animals that may bite, scratch, jump, or cause disruptions in any way.

Parking

  • Commercial Property: When traveling to hotels, Airbnb, or similar venues in downtown areas, I will only park via valet due to the amount of equipment I bring (including makeup kit, chair, lighting, table, kit bag, and a wagon to load everything in). The cost of valet parking will be billed directly to the client or their room.

  • Residential Property: Please ensure that there is adequate parking available near the property to accommodate my vehicle and equipment. If no parking is available, additional fees may apply or the client may need to provide alternative parking options.
